Getting Started

Dona FelaThis course shows you how to help group members learn the topics for the session, Be More Physically Active, from the Your Heart, Your Life program. You will teach them that:

  • Physical activity is good for the heart and overall health.
  • People should be physically active at least 30 minutes every day.
  • Brisk walking is a simple activity almost everyone can do.
  • There are ways to fit more activity into a busy schedule.

Instructions for leading a group are found in the Your Heart, Your Life (pdf *, 364 kb) manual (pages 23 through 42). Other materials that you will need for the whole course are listed on the next page. Take the time you need to get your materials then we'll get started.
